Alpha Mu (My Beginning) This photograph was taken inside the St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic church in Spring Lake, NJ. The author knelt at the altar and cried out to God. He saw his initials (AM) inscribed in the Ave Maria (statue of the Mother Mary) and took it as a sign from the LORD. To learn more, read Chapter One.
This is an unfinished work of art depicting the author's son, JP. The painting is by Laura Scully, a talented artist. To learn more, read Chapter 4.
This is another incredible work of art by Laura Scully. The canvas was the divine piece God used to reveal himself to the author. To learn more, read Chapter 4.
This "A" is an example of extreme irony. The author had been signing his name using a single cursive initial "A" for years as an attorney, LONG before he would accept that he suffered from alcoholism. The cover of the "big book" in AA bore the same single initial as the one he had been using all along to sign documents. To learn more, read chapter 6.
This chessboard and the accompanying rice bag (which held the chess pieces) was an unexpected method God used to dispel the author's notion of coincidence. To learn more, read Chapter 6.
New Jersey shirts
God employed a divine instrument to help the author come to understand that he was loved, blessed, and protected far ahead of the time that he accepted Him in his life. It caused the author to pause and reflect on how he had been so blind. To learn more, read Chapter 4.
Winning the Lottery
Evidence God used to dispel any doubt that the author had been blessed more immensely than any lottery winning could bestow (and well before he had purchased the Pick 3 tickets that night). To learn more, see chapter 6.
A Thousand Acres, a Gas Can, and a Weed Wacker
A special place where "P" and the author began their mentorship. Curious about the rest of the story? Read Chapter 7.
Chapter 12 tells the incredible story of this sign, which was a clear indication that God could be counted upon to respond to the author's thoughts, intentions, and dreams.
Don't Worry Mister, I Got It!
Another example the author was gifted in the truth of God's word (that is sometimes difficult to believe until practiced) was shown through the generosity of a child. To hear the whole (beautiful!) story, read Chapter 8.
(OMG! Literall) The License Plate
Confirmation that the LORD was always well ahead of the author and planning the blessings he would live out came in an unorthodox form: a license plate. Curious to learn all the crazy details? Check out Chapter 12.
Petey the Parakeet
This fowl literally walked right up to the Dream Center SETX using the accessibility ramp, fulfilling the author's lifelong dream of reuniting. Who is Petey and why is he such an important character in the author's life? Read Chapter 12.
The Son and the Moon
The LORD truly did for the author that which he could not do for himself. Read Chapter 15 to hear the heartwarming story.
