Alpha Mu Alpha Mu (My Beginning) This photograph was taken inside the St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic church in Spring Lake, NJ. The author knelt at the altar and cried out to God. He saw his initials (AM) inscribed in the Ave Maria (statue of the Mother Mary) and took it as a sign from the LORD. To learn more, read Chapter One. Signature A This "A" is an example of extreme irony. The author had been signing his name using a single cursive initial "A" for years as an attorney, LONG before he would accept that he suffered from alcoholism. The cover of the "big book" in AA bore the same single initial as the one he had been using all along to sign documents. To learn more, read chapter 6.
Chess This chessboard and the accompanying rice bag (which held the chess pieces) was an unexpected method God used to dispel the author's notion of coincidence. To learn more, read Chapter 6.	New Jersey shirts God employed a divine instrument to help the author come to understand that he was loved, blessed, and protected far ahead of the time that he accepted Him in his life. Winning the Lottery Evidence God used to dispel any doubt that the author had been blessed more immensely than any lottery winning could bestow (and well before he had purchased the Pick 3 tickets that night).
